How to improve the living conditions of vulnerable youngsters?

Many vulnerable young people do not feel safe in their own homes and often lack another place to spend time in. So, with Maribo as a basis, this project presents a haven-cum-knowledge centre for vulnerable youngsters. Focusing on the issues and qualities of the area, the goal is to improve the living conditions of the youngsters and make Maribo a better place to be in. On the basis of social relationships and communities, the haven provides space for safeguarding the welfare, learning and personal development of each youngster.

The project’s public soup kitchen forms the setting for the physical and mental health of the users, while also getting local residents involved. With a central location in the town, the objective is also to integrate the youngsters, making them part of the local population of Maribo.
