This thesis is about inserting new architecture in connection with a historical context. I am designing a village hall, a café and a pathway for Gyrstinge cemetery. The village hall invites more people to the village for events and the café invites the locals to use the cemetery garden more. My project connects with the existing architecture of the site by transforming the architectural details and introducing contemporary elements to the design.
