The dining table has for thousands of years been the gathering point for families. But as changes in society affects our work and family lives, our needs towards our furniture has changed as well. The idea of the table as a gathering point has for many therefore been lost in the 20th century.

By looking at the needs of the modern family, and with a desire to bring the individuals within it closer, the goal of this project is to move the dining table as a gathering point into the 21st century.
