The project addresses material resource scarcity and reducing CO2 impact by exploring new ways of utilizing existing, renewable, and local resource - nurse tree, currently burnt for biomass energy. Rooted in vernacular building systems in Denmark and Edo (Japan) the project proposes novel structural approaches and detailing towards a biogenic tectonic from imperfect, lower strength juvenile wood.
