As we have been forced to re-evaluate the future of work, the fundamental notion of how, where, and when we work sets new requirements to the physical office and its relationship to the surrounding city. This project explores how a hybrid work model could revitalize the identity of Kalvebod Brygge, to reflect a more inclusive and diverse district that signifies the nature of the knowledge economy.

The Diploma deals with the future of work, which is defined by our adaptation of modern technologies, making new ways of working increasingly possible. This has been further emphasized during the Covid-19 pandemic, where remote working has become an intrinsic part of our work-life setting radically different requirements to the physical office space as we know it.

With a series of protruding piers, the new waterfront at Kalvebod Brygge gives reference to the area's industrial past, while it enables the district to bridge the gap between innovation and fabrication.
The masterplan exhibits a revitalisation of Kalvebod Brygge from a corporate and uniform identity to a diverse and explorative district that represents the nature of the knowledge economy. Kalvebod Brygge 2.0 has become a venue of diverse functions and typologies that provides stimulating and informal spaces.
