Russia, Canada and the Kingdom of Denmark have claimed exclusive rights in parts of the Arctic Ocean. In this territorial dispute at the North Pole, scientists are the modern-day soldiers. They supply the supporting evidence for the borders of these political claims.
A spatial installation disseminates this complex topic by displaying the three claims and creates a platform for debate around the relationship between science and politics.

This final thesis project holds a proposal for a spatial installation that manoeuvres on the intersection of scenography, data visualization and graphic design. An immersive installation that aims to disseminate a scientific subject in an interactive, tangible and artistic way. It looks at the form of scientific visual language within this topic and reinterprets it. The proposal is created for Bloom festival, a contemporary nature and science festival that shares the same intentions of knowledge transfer in new and interesting ways.
Three texts within the installation explain the topic, and act as a key to decipher the installation at the same time.
