A Hike Through Time focuses on the way we portray and experience unique places and nature. Taking place at Stevns Klint the main goal of the project is to offer a different way to experience the layers of time that are present at the site with a key focus on permanence and change over time, which provides a new way to experience and gives the opportunity to see our human existence in a greater perspective.

The project consists of two main phases:

PHASE I: THE TRAMPLED PATH

With a focus on the unique landscape and nature that Stevns Klint is made of, the first part of the project focuses on a restructuring of the northern part of the trampled path to offer a different route with more of the landscape incorporated as well as uniting five added stops along the path.

PHASE II: ADDED STOPS ALONG THE PATH

The second part of the project focuses on the selected stops along the path that each represent a dimension of time. With a focus on permanence and decomposition over time they each seek to communicate a certain layer of time and a different experience for the visitor focusing on developing the unique features of each stop.

The second phase will mainly focus on stop 2: Deep Time, as this stop has the ability to communicate the deeper layers of time and offer a place to stay for a longer period of time.
