The project is a crafts club for kids consisting of five workshops in textile, ceramics, wood, metal, and painting. Located in Christianshavn near the canal surrounded by greenery.

Much of all activities for children and young people after school consist of sports, where you can join clubs and associations. These activities are largely performance-based, which according to many can contribute to an unhealthy environment where stress and performance take up more space than playful learning. There are also creative leisure activities, but even there performance is often involved. The fear of failure in many cases means that children do not give themselves the chance to explore or develop within the activity.

In my thesis, I seek to create a healthy leisure environment for children. Crafts Club should be a free place, without achievement and instead with play, exploration, and curiosity in focus. With experiments as the form of activity, the outcome becomes unknown and the result is, therefore, less performance-based. No previous knowledge is required and it stimulates curiosity to examine their creativity and dare to believe in their ability.
