Moseløkken granite quarry on Bornholm is complemented with an adventurous hiking route. The intervention conserves the testimony of a unique industrial landscape and extends the adjoining Quarry Museum into the active excavation site. Moreover, the route will enable a reflection on the greater impact of excavation through a structure that synthesizes man’s orthogonal and geology’s oblique systems.

Moseløkken quarry and museum are located on Northern Bornholm. The intervention is placed in five locations around and in this excavation landscape.
This slideshow provides an overview of the site, fields of interest and time perspective.
The design is portrayed in the following slideshows.

Richters legat

Cecilie Olivia Esper modtog legatet sammen med sin projektpartner Emma Laure Koninckx. I juryens motivering stod: " Emma Laure Koninckx and Cecilie Olivia Esper Larsen have since the beginning of their studies at Spatial Design shown themselves as dedicated and talented students. In their final thesis ... they have developed a series of spatial interventions that (re)activate Moseløkken granite quarry on Bornholm. The intervention both conserves the testimony of a unique industrial landscape and extends the adjoining Quarry Museum into the active excavation site."

Summerhouse in Northern Zealand

The summer house, designed for a private client, is a subtle structure clad with traditionally Japanese burnt wood. It has a closed gable towards the road, but opens up towards South, allowing the sculptural pine trees to create ephemeral shadow patterns on the interior walls.
