The study of Mycelium, within an architectural context, has largely focused on composite fabrication to develop construction elements. This project examines the further use of mycelium as a living remediator of contaminated sites, setting grounds from its natural ability to deconstruct pollutant substances.

The objective of 3D printed Bio-hybrid structures is to develop an architectural language that is able to bridge the gap between the use of living organism, digital design and Additive Manufacturing (AM) through a speculative design approach, whilst considering the ecological implications as it's general objective.
