E-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the world, with both environmental and social consequences. This project investigates the potentials in recycling electronics and combines the industrial process of recycling with the human-centered at a local scale. Here the building itself is considered a medium for communicating the otherwise invisible forces that are shaping our digital world.

The program is based on the current supply chain of electronics, and creates a centralized place to purchase, repair, and disassemble electronics. The new functions are implemented as a transformation of an existing building in Copenhagen.
This transformation brings clarity to the building, and is organized according to the circulation of material and of people.

The approach is threefold and focuses on staging the experience of the visitor, the direct transformation, and the functionality of the recycling processes.
Here the sequential experience of the functions are building up to a final overview of the facility. The buildings past as a cinema has inspired the performative aspects of the project, and is emphasized through a series of reflections and projections.
