Project: Delves is a first person platforming game that visually combines middle eastern influences with cosmic horror, to provide an explorative journey into the depths of a forgotten temple. Play as Nefertari, a retired fortune hunter who is drawn to the temple by unseen forces, and discover the origins of this abandoned tomb, along with the evil that lurks within.

Inspired by the Roguelike genre, Delve explores the designing for emergence through non-combat oriented gameplay as well as the replay value in exploration and skill based traversal mechanics to create something fresh in a market saturated with combat and hyper casual entertainment.

Game Design

As game and level designer I was in charge of steering the overall vision. Making sure our core gameplay felt coherent and related to the experience we were trying to create as well as creating levels and a tutorial for the game. The challenge in Delve was trying to balance difficulty, mechanical depth, mastery with an engaging world to immerse yourself in.
