This thesis is a methodical exploration of clay as a medium and design tool, designing a ceramic workshop to serve as a space for patient recovery at Psychiatric Center Ballerup. It builds upon developed praxis and advocates craft psychology. The process becomes a collaboration between creator and material. Embracing unpredictability allows for a design that evokes a feeling of natural evolution.

CV

My goal is to design dynamic and grounded environments that connect people with their surroundings. I am passionate about exploring how elements and design features can create identities and atmospheres within spaces, impacting our experiences and usage. I seek sustainable and innovative solutions to enhance both new and existing environments by challenging material usage and reusing existing materials on site.

I believe we thrive in environments where we can grow and express ourselves, both as individuals and as a community - spaces that inspire and uplift us, and have the right amount of challenge and comfort.
