TAK - It's time for change

How do we get consumers to use energy more sustainably in their daily lives?

At the exhibition '70 % Less CO2' you can explore the project 'TAK - It's time for change'.

Generating electricity based on fossil fuels is a major source of carbon emissions, and one of Denmark’s policy goals is for the country to be powered solely by green solar and wind power by 2030. But, already, consumers can be nudged to improve their behaviour and plan their use of electricity to be more sustainable.

.

The TAK clock indicates when sustainable energy is being generated in the local region for the next 12 to 24 hours. This makes it easy for individual households to plan their electricity consumption to be more sustainable, such as by waiting to start the washing machine until TAK shows that the electricity is generated by green sources.

Providing the right information enables individual consumers to make active sustainable choices.
