Architectural Design Intern - Spring 2025
Schmidt Hammer Lassen is looking for ambitious and talented students with a true passion for how architecture around us shapes our lives.
As our intern, you will work with the design process through participation in competitions, sketch proposals or design development phases. You will have access to highly specialized software for conceptual modeling, graphic tools and visualization – as well as the means to learn them.
Our DNA
At Schmidt Hammer Lassen, we value teamwork and operate in a focused, yet informal work environment. We believe that architecture creates change, and we strive to design buildings that meet the challenges of modern society, shape the lives of people and organizations, and make people come together in new ways.
We are deeply committed to the Nordic architectural traditions based on democracy, welfare, aesthetics, light, sustainability, and social responsibility. We work with cultural and educational buildings, offices, commercial, retail, and residential, often in mixed-use developments and complex urban contexts.
Our internship program
The internship program at Schmidt Hammer Lassen is an opportunity to work side-by-side with our experienced teams on both Danish and international projects.
We put the professional and personal development of our interns at the forefront of our intern program. To do so, we encourage you to ask questions and give input, so we can tailor a customized internship program that fits your learning goals. To further support your learning, all our architectural design interns have an experienced architect assigned as a mentor. We organize social and educational events throughout the internship — some of them exclusively for our intern cohort.
