How will the corona crisis influence the architecture of care home facilities in the future? This was discussed at an (online) meeting last Tuesday in The Danish Association of Construction Clients (DACC) care home network.

Do we for example need special visit areas with direct access from outside? Should access area be separated from living rooms? Should there be apartments that can be isolated from the rest of the care home? Intensified focus on hygiene with more visible sinks and hand sanitizer dispensers? - and how will this influence the feeling of homeliness?

Are there some typologies better suited to handle such disease outbreaks? Also, just the annually recurring that we know already.
