OBJECTS
My ceramic practice reflects a love for functional ware not only for its functional abilities but also for its history.
A history that I sometimes see being neglected. As a craftsperson in the making, I see it as my role to reflect on this history in my work.
My pieces show a longing for a world where objects have a deeper meaning and more central role in our lives. I have made 4 fantasy objects based on ideas of what role things and objects might have had in the past and in a different society.
I have let my hands adapt ideas of myth and power to make things with mystic and spiritual character.
On a personal level, I feel very much that objects have a major influence on our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. I hope this is something the viewer will feel when seeing the pieces.

Old things and craftmanship have always fascinated me, because they tell the story of a time lost. A time when we had a more intimate relationship with objects and handcraft.
For my Bachelor project, I have been playing around with ceramic handles and decorations from many different worlds.
