Natural ventilation in remote arid areas
Deserts cover 33% of land on earth, and expands along with population growth. 1/6 of humans lives in desert conditions - 5 million people die each year due to excessive heat/cold. Temperatures in northwestern Sahara fluctuates from 42°C during day, to 4°C at night. How could we inhabit desert areas, and regulate temperature in extremely hot/cold environments?
Inhabiting the desert
Elements: windcatcher, watercellar and solarchimney/thermal mass
