We explore how visual design may address the growing mental health crisis by studying the potential positive impact of design on the body. Bringing together sensor-based behavioral metrics and design practices, we study the physiological and neural signals generated from interacting with visual design aids.

Through testing color, pattern, layout, typography, and other design elements, we aim to understand how visual design may contribute to building resilience, offering relief, and reducing stress. The findings will provide the foundation for developing research-based design guidelines and prototypes, enabling future designers to support better well-being.
