Boglancering: Contact Zones: Architectural Encounters in the Post-Anthropocene

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of Contact Zones: Architectural Encounters in the Post-Anthropocene, issue 10/2025 of the Dimensions Journal of Architectural Knowledge. 

Please join colleagues, students, contributors, and editors for an afternoon of presentations and conversations exploring the themes and ideas brought together in this issue. 

Following the talks, there will be time for informal discussion over drinks, and copies of the publication will be available for purchase at a special launch price. 

Contact Zones seeks to foreground the multifarious, transformative, and productive zones of contact through which new forms of cohesion and understanding for more-than-human environments can arise. 

The issue presents a diverse range of encounters between practice and theory, as well as perspectives on engaging with contact zones within the fields of architecture and landscape architecture. In doing so, it raises questions and offers inspiration for spatial practitioners and educators who insist on an open and critical engagement with urgent planetary conditions. 

The issue is edited by Lidia Gasperoni (KU Leuven), Beata Hemer (Royal Danish Academy - Institute of Architecture and Cuture), Jennifer Raum (TU Graz) and Guro Sollid (Royal Danish Academy - Institute of Architecture, City and Landscape), and features contributions from both international scholars and practitioners, as well as contributors from the Royal Danish Academy.
