Sowing Salt: Fostering Innovation, Food Sovereignty and Community Resilience in Antofagasta Through Saline Agriculture

Antofagasta, Chile suffers from water scarcity, aridity and resource privatization, severely impeding its agricultural potential. These conditions have led to tremendous local innovation in desert-climate agriculture. In consolidating research, production and education, this project aims to foster food sovereignty, community resiliency and sustainable development in the Northern coastal region.
