Circular Disassembly
Context
The mismatch between growing e-waste and resource shortage stems from the design of embedded equipment and preventative disassembly features to proceed with the conventional Sell more/Sell faster model.
Solution
This project explores the Ease of Disassembly and Emotional Design of small kitchen appliances (Kettle and Blender), as a Circular Strategy for extending product life to benefit all stakeholders and our planet. The intuitive experience and timeless style can build product attachment for End-Users and promote efficiency for recirculation.
Outcome
As a designer, I organise data from multiple studies, develop the design method that prioritize Design for Disassembly (DfD), prototype usable and compelling models for workshops, finally deliver a theoretically based product strategy.
