Purpurkappe is a site-specific textile art piece for the feminist organization Danner in Copenhagen. Inspired by the Ancient Greek female poet Sappho and the fragments left of her work combined with the remains of Danner’s history. Using fragmentation and discharge printing as methods for creating a textile object that induces an atmosphere of comfort and solicitude.
