Art Port

The art market is booming in an unseen level. In the last ten years, the revenue from the auctions, the number of artworks sold in auctions and the art prices have almost tripled. The prices are so high that the public art museums do not have the financial means to acquire new pieces. But if the art works do not appear in the museum, where are they?
The world’s richest people have found a solution- the free-port art warehouses. The oldest one in Geneva- hosts 3 times more artworks than the whole collection of the Louvre- in total- approximately 1,2 million artworks, including 1000 Picassos.
In the last 5 years free-port art warehouses have been appearing all over the world- Singapore, Luxembourg, New York and they all are almost full. The number of art pieces in the warehouses is huge but unknown.
The problem is clearly manifesting itself- more and more art is hidden, put intellectually almost in coma.
Meanwhile the state funding for the culture in Denmark and other countries go down. Due to these cuts, the Danish national museums exclude special exhibitions and introduce the entrance tickets. Is there another way how to make the art accessible?
