Eine Sammlung von Kopenhagener Märchen
My graduate project "Eine Sammlung von Kopenhagener Märchen" centers around reconnecting ourselves with our inner child in the way we dress.
Inspired by the way children play dress up and by fairytales of the Brothers Grimm & H.C. Andersen, this collection fuses these ideas of escapist transformation from a boring everyday to fairytale worlds. By working with archetypes found in Copenhagen and pairing them up with fairytale characters, I wanted to create a symbiosis between the fairytales of our youth and our everyday problems.
This project hopes to reignite our impulsive and playfull dress. Instead of taking clothing so serious, we can through whimsy and fun, escape this boring everyday.
