The Resurrection of traditional danish cuisine and its surrounding design, the lack of a similar movement in Germany and the small number of german restaurants inspired me to create a german restaurant in Copenhagen.
I chose one of the abandoned buildings on Jakob Dannefærdsvej 17-19 formerly belonging to Radiohuset. I designed an extension to the roof as well as a complete refurbishment of the building, adapting it to the needs of a modern bistro and restaurant. I put special emphasis on creating a contemporary version of the spatial identity one encounters in a traditional south german restaurant working with similar materials and colors.
