Splitting of the Subject" is an abstract visual representation of pregnancy and the transformation of the body. The title and initial inspirations comes from an essay by feminist philosopher Iris Marion Young, describing pregnancy from a phenomenological standpoint. The outfits are not maternity wear, but shape abstractions over literary descriptions of pregnancy in the form of garments.

Collages made in collaboration with Tina Saaby & Charlotte Østergaard. I made a collage for each outfit representing the core idea for the outfit. The collages was then elaborated in a collaborative session, where we each worked for 15 minutes on a collage and then passed it on until the collages where finished.
