Our project offers a strategic toolbox that lowers barriers to adaptive reuse, making it more accessible to a wider range of players. By activating underused buildings through design flexibility and phased investment, we give new life to spaces often left behind.

Architects and Students Love Transformation and Adaptive Reuse Projects
In architecture school, we are taught that the must sustainable building is the one already standing. With the current climate crisis, the pressure to restore and rennovate is at an all time high. As architects, we are taught that the future of our industry is through renovation and transformation. A reason why many of the projects we see today are based off this idea.
In order to understand the problem of why we dont reuse our current building stock, Mathias and I travlled across Europe to talk to some industry leaders. We reached out to housing associations, architects, developers, and financial instrituions to understand what the barriers to adaptive reuse were.
