A Gender-Inclusive Fashion Brand
This project explores gender-inclusive fashion through garments that challenge binary dress codes and are designed to last. By merging classic suit aesthetics with fluid silhouettes and offering alter-to-fit and repair services, it supports LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies in expressing identity. It creates space for fashion that values gender expression, durability, and belonging beyond the norm.
How might a fashion brand facilitate gender inclusivity in a way that also supports long-lasting use?
Clothes that fit, made, and allow for gender expression and fluidity better
This project was driven by a recurring challenge voiced by many: garments that neither fit properly nor reflect the complexity of individual identity. For those navigating gender beyond the binary, clothing often becomes a site of constraint rather than expression. Ill-fitting silhouettes, limited sizing systems, and masculine-coded “neutral” designs continue to dominate, leaving little room for authentic representation.
In response, this project proposes a gender-inclusive fashion approach rooted in fit, expression, and longevity. Through tailored construction, co-design sessions with LGBT+ & Ally individuals, and cultural reference points—including Thai shared-gender traditions—the designs prioritise adaptable fits and emotional resonance. By addressing the practical issue of fit alongside the symbolic language of dress, the project reframes clothing as a medium for inclusion rather than conformity.
It offers a vision for fashion that not only acknowledges gender diversity but actively affirms it—through garments that are made to fit, made to last, and made to express.
