Forskning og kunstnerisk udviklingsvirksomhed
Den kunstneriske og videnskabelige forskning forholder sig til samfundsmæssige udfordringer, nationalt og internationalt, og foregår i stærke partnerskaber med andre forskningsinstitutioner, offentlige og private virksomheder samt branchen og industrien.
Aktuelt tager instituttets forskningsprojekter udgangspunkt i bæredygtighed, spatial inclusion og arkitekturhistorie. Herudover forskes i lys, materialer og tektonik, interior architecture, extreme environments, repræsentation, AI og virtual reality.
Instituttets forskningscentre og -klynger er tæt koblede til undervisningen på instituttets bachelor- og kandidatprogrammer.

Centre for Privacy Studies
Centre for Privacy Studies (collaboration between University of Copenhagen and Royal Danish Academy) is a Centre of Excellence which aims to develop an interdisciplinary approach equipped to grasp, e.g., architectural, religious, legislative, political and educational demarcations of privacy in an integrated way.
