In CollectionCare we are 18 partners from nine countries. It is an interdisciplinary consortium including renowned research groups from different universities, companies with specialized knowledge on collection management, on handling and transport of cultural heritage, on IoT connectivity, big data and cloud computing, and a conservation and restoration company as well as six different kinds of museums.

With this very diverse group, one of the key issues in the beginning of the project was ‘communication’. How do we ensure, that all partners understand specific concepts the same way?

At the beginning of the project in the summer of 2019 a partnership meeting was held in Copenhagen at the Royal Danish Academy. This meeting was planned to discuss various key concepts and to ensure common understanding and a common ‘language’ for the project. The discussions were based on a report, which was delivered to the EU consortium as a public document.

If you want to know more about the definitions of the CollectionCare system requirements, the report can be accessed on the CollectionCare website under work package 1 (WP1) or by downloading the file in the box to the right.
