How can we understand urban nature beyond parks and green spaces? How do urban ecologies intersect with posthumanist and postcolonial perspectives?

We are pleased to welcome Matthew Gandy, Professor of Geography at the University of Cambridge, for a lecture based on his latest book Natura urbana: ecological constellations in urban space (2022).

Gandy is an internationally recognized geographer, urbanist, and cultural critic, known for his award-winning works on urban nature and infrastructure. In this talk, he will guide us through the multispecies landscapes of the city – drawing on urban ecology, feminist theory, and postcolonial thought. The event is open to anyone interested in urban development, ecology, architecture, and critical theory.
