Online seminar: Disabling the Archive

The series exploring disability, deafness and neurodiversity in architecture, foregrounding inclusive research, pedagogy and design practices.

The series marks a new collaboration between the Cluster for Disability, Deafness, and Neurodiversity at The Bartlett University College London, the Centre for Spatial Inclusion at the Royal Danish Academy and The DisOrdinary Architecture Project.

The seminar “Disabling the Archive” will explore the theme through talks, discussions, and collaborative practice. 

The seminar will include an introductory talk by Christine Bjerke and Jordan Whitewood-Neal followed by a conversation. The theme examines gaps, narratives, and alternative methodologies, encouraging critical reflection on what constitutes an archive through a disability lens.

Event series organised by Cluster for Disability, Deafness, and Neurodiversity at The Bartlett together with Centre for Spatial Inclusion at Royal Danish Academy and The DisOrdinary Architecture Project. The event is funded by the Bartlett School of Architecture’s Just Environments Incubator, which supports projects that generate new forms of spatial, environmental, and socially just practices.
