Opening 30th of June at 14:00 - everybody is welcome!
Architecture in Common: Leave No One Behind is an interdisciplinary project in which 90 students from the Royal Danish Academy - Institute of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape, Next Herlev and Copenhagen University – Landscape and Planning, will work together to design and build an inclusive, installation-based wayfinding strategy in Ørestad City leading guests from the Metro Station to the UIA conference.
The intention of the project is to make architecture, landscape and product design accessible to as many people as possible, ensuring as broad a range of abilities as possible can benefit from the full aesthetic and functional enjoyment of the design.
In week 26, the student projects will progress from drawings and small-scale models to actual 1:1 installations at NEXT Herlev and on-site in Ørestad. The final results will be revealed at 14:00 on Friday, June 30th at Bella Center, and you are warmly invited to attend! The students will present their designs, Camilla Van Deurs, Chief City Architect of Copenhagen, will speak, and refreshments and snacks will be served.
