Double lecture with award winning fashion designer Elena Velez and cross disciplinary artist Andreas Emenius, who will talk about their work on fashion and cross disciplinary visual universes. 

About Elena Velez
Elena Velez, is an American fashion designer and artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Based in NYC her works are known for a non-traditional synthesis of metalwork and high fashion. She also believes in radical inclusion for nontraditional makers outside of the historical Establishment. Other aesthetic values are the unrefined, wild romantic, brutalist, brutalist, imperfect… 

Elena Velez studied at Parsons Paris and Graduated from Parsons School of Design. In 2020 she went to Central Saint Martin, UK to receive a graduate diploma in fashion design.  

Elena Velez was appointed American Emerging Designer of the Year by CFDA in 2022. 

About Andreas Emenius
Most known for his cross disciplinary work in painting, sculpture, performance, film and sound Andreas Emenius creates visual universes using a ‘Controlled Punk’ aesthetic signature with a poetic sensibility.  

Upon graduation from Central Saint Martins Andreas Emenius has continuously exhibited his visual universe at art institutions over the years including Nikolaj Kunsthal, Viborg Kunsthal, Moderna Museet Malmö, Schunck Museum Holland, Torrance Art Museum in Los Angeles, Gwangju Biennale in South Korea. Emenius have participated in numerous and notable collaborations with professionals both within and outside of traditional art institutions including musicians Trentemøller and Swedish composer Jacob Muhlrad.
