Consumer Culture has run its destructive course in all fields of life, including conventional, northwestern hemispherical dominated, image mediated archi-tecture. In contrast to this part of the world, the real world has to make do with few resources. Alternative architectural practices are working to create dignified environments for ordinary people.

On July 1-2, CICA - International Committee of Architectural Critics - will host a keynote lecture and a symposium on post consumption architecture. Wilfried Wang will introduce lectures by Horacio Torrent, Rasmus Wærn, Li Xiangning and Ana Tostões with following discussions.
