How do we care for the objects in our homes, and how can design foster that connection?
der sad to katte på et bord is an investigation of when an object is perceived as functional or as sculptural, and how those two elements can coexist within an object.
Borrowing its title from the Danish children's song, the project explores the interaction between two objects. An investigation of a conversation only understood by them, but however imagined by the us.

What fascinates me about a stool is its freedom to move through the home. It doesn't have a designated place. There's also something almost paradoxical about it. Chosen, but not quite chosen. Because it has no fixed space, it doesn't quite belong anywhere either. But these stools do belong.
The two stools are each made of four mouth blown legs and a wooden seat made in oak. In the making of the different legs, the glass gets to decide a lot in the final shape. It is a constant dialogue between the material and me, where gravity, air and heat is my main tools.
